¿Under What Bandera? Anti-War Ofrendas from Minnesota y Califas is a collaboration between poets from San Diego's Red CalacArts Collective and the Minneapolis, MN based Palabrer@s. Recognizing the need to oppose militarism these two arts activist organizations have teamed up to provide a collective shout out against U.S. imperialist aggression.
The Red CalacArts Collective, a project of the independent Chicano literary publisher Calaca Press, is a not for profit multidisciplinary arts and activist organization that focuses on creating, publishing, producing, and presenting Chicano, Latin American and indigenous related art focusing on issues dealing with human rights and social justice.
The Project on Youth and Non-Military Opportunities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that provides young people with an alternative point of view about military enlistment. Project YANO focuses on youths in San Diego County and helps to provide resources and advice to similar groups across the country.
